EBITDAR Goal attainment

EBITDAR growth is the catalyst for increasing shareholder value and serves as our primary yardstick for measuring store level performance.  Our 3 year EBITDAR Budget is the baseline for establishing stretch targets.  Budget achievement is considered a basic level of performance.  In order to stimulate superior performance - EBITDAR stretch goals have been established – on a by store basis – taking into consideration unique elements surrounding each store.

Silent Shopper

On a quarterly basis, we Silent Shop each car wash and lube shop.  The data is tabulated and sent to management and the GM of each store to act as a feedback mechanism for performance evaluation.  The goal is to identify any performance issues as well as “catching a store” doing things right

Site Inspection

The Site inspection report measures 57 distinct Retail Standards that collectively manifest themselves into premier service delivery and store level execution.  These standards are broken down into 5 primary categories:

  1. Quality of vehicles
  2. Cleanliness of the facility
  3. Employee appearance
  4. Customer service
  5. Operational procedures

The Retail Standards Survey will be used two ways.

  • Self Evaluation:  The survey will be completed by each General Manager on a monthly basis and sent to the respective VP of Operations.  Through self evaluation, the GM will be able to make sure he’s “touching all the bases” and give him a tool to assess his own operations. It will also be used by the VP of Operations as a teaching tool – addressing any potential shortcomings.
  • Semi-Annual Site Inspection:  The VP of Operations will conduct his own survey semi-annually.  Gaps in findings will be discussed and used to ensure that there’s a synchronicity of expectations.

Employee Rewards

The Rewards and Recognition Model is designed to encourage core employees to make a difference both individually and through their team’s performance.  The model provides both monetary and non-monetary awards for hitting certain levels.
